Robert, I like Monsanto, though it is a bit on the big side for my preferences. I like agritech companies like Mycogen, but I don't think you will ever have the leverage there that you get with a successful biotech product. Agricultural products simply sell for too low a price for there to be a big payoff. Matritech I don't know at all. US Robotics is a stock on which I have owned puts since the last time it was selling at this price. I have suffered with this stock, but it has definitely come my way lately and made up for all the bad times. Plus some. First, Intel's MMX will make USRX's most important business, commodity modems, obsolete within two years. Also, the prices of modems even now are approaching breakeven levels and there is plenty of competition. Second, USRX has been bright enough to see this disaster unfolding and has diversified into networking products in a big way. But there, they will just become another victim for Cisco. I don't think they will go out of business, but their margins are under attack from all sides and we won't see very many good eps reports from them in the future. MB
