If sex is a private matter, why, in all human societies, is marriage such a big deal, bordering on the cornerstone of humanity? Everyone in the village, give or take a few, gathers around the couple who sign up with witnesses galore to a legal position surrounding their sexual relations. There is nothing more public nor, [historically], more important.
That is a rhetorical question and for a change, I am not going to go into a detailed explanation of why sex is not a private matter, though, of course, people prefer it to be, for themselves anyway. Most people have no idea why marriage even exists - they confuse it with stupid romantic notions of love. Which is why they get into such trouble.
I dare say you have some opinions on the whole business, being in the business of wrecking the marriages, or, as you might call it, disassembling, or maybe deconstructing, the relationships.
