Global inventories dropped about 1 million MT per year from 2002 - 2004. With only marginal increases in production & China , India & most of the industrial world showing increased growth over the last 2 years, China must nearly be out of their own copper reserves. My guess is that China will start attacking the LME reserves again early next year. They also are still 150K MT short, from not covering at the $1.50 level a year ago. That amounts to almost the entire LME & NYMEX total inventory. I sense a copper crisis soon.
