Remember I am living in Canada, all the hospitals are publicly funded, although we have Jewish and Catholic Hospitals. Public Hospitals hire from the General population, Private/Public Hospitals hire their co-religionists. Since the taxpayers pay for all the hospitals bills and expenses, why should religious dogma be forced on the public using the hospitals? In the reorganization of hospitals a few years ago in order to not infuriate the Catholics the premier closed a public Hospital and gave it's services and building to the Catholics. So the Catholic Hospital got control of the Birth control Clinic, the abortion clinic and the Aids program.

So the Catholics are teaching AIDS Prevention, and counselling women on abortion. The Catholics are in charge of Birth Control programs. This is hardly a logical or useful idea.
