Homeland Security Group International's Military Advisory Board Adds Well Known Explosive Ordnance Expert
Patrick Anderson, US Army (Retired) on Board to Provide Expert Direction to HMSG Ballistics and Training Divisions

Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, USMC (Retired), CEO of Homeland Security Group International (PINKSHEETS: HMSG), announced today HMSG has retained a seasoned military combat veteran as a member of the Military Technical Advisory Board (MTAB).


Commenting on the new board member, Colonel Powers added, "The addition of Mr. Anderson to the Military Technical Advisory Board maintains connectivity to the needs and desires of first responders in both the Homeland Security and military sector of the market. Mr. Anderson joins a very distinguished group of advisors on the Technical Advisory board including Lieutenant General Emil Bedard, USMC (Ret), retired FBI Agent Ronnie J. Frigulti, Dr. James Richardson and Command Master Chief Robert Fitzgerald.

Anderson will advise the Ballistics Division on matters relating to IEDs and protective measures both technological and physical. He will have input regarding techniques for improving both body armor and ballistic armor used on vehicles and other military equipment. Anderson will also work closely with the Training Division on matters pertaining to the proper training of detection and avoidance of improvised explosive devices.

ABOUT MR. PATRICK ANDERSON

Mr. Anderson is a recently retired US Army Non-Commissioned Officer with 21 years of military experience in explosive ordinance disposal. He has been deployed to 29 countries. Anderson holds the title of Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician and has 16 years Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) experience. He is a graduate of the US Navy Advanced Access and Disablement course and the FBI Hazardous Devices School. Mr. Anderson is a US Army Master Instructor with over 8 years experience in Military and Civilian Curriculum Development. He has managed and instructed US Army Instructor Training, Systems Approach to Training and Small Group Instruction courses.

Mr. Anderson holds degrees in Technologies and Management for Calhoun College, a degree in Education from Columbia College and is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at Columbia College. He is currently the Training Manager for EOD Technology Inc.

Mr. Anderson is an accomplished Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Training Manager who has directed and provided instruction on EOD basic skills (terms and definitions, general EOD safeties, explosives and explosive effects, basic demolition procedures, ordinance color codes, fuse arming and firing functions, general ordinance identification features, reconnaissance procedures, EOD tools); advanced skills (advanced IED access and disablement, incident response management, leadership courses, instructor development); and new EOD developments and techniques.

Mr. Anderson is a recognized subject matter expert in areas including foreign and domestic nuclear, chemical, and biological munitions; sophisticated improvised explosive devices; specialized EOD tools and equipment; radiographic technology; remote access techniques; de-mining techniques and procedures; ammunition supply point techniques and procedures; and hazardous devices incident safety and response techniques. He has incorporated and utilized a broad range of teaching methods, including small group instruction, practical exercises, student demonstrations, conferences, and classroom lectures.

Mr. Anderson is a recognized leader with experience assessing training needs, developing and managing Programs of Instruction (curriculums, courses, lesson plans, materials), and maintaining compliance with regulations and accreditation standards. In addition, he offers a proven ability to train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate civilian and military instructors and play a key role in their professional development.
