Thereafter, my working environment became one of what is known in terms of employment law as “constructive discharge”. In such a situation, an employee is essentially forced not to succeed, lending justification to a termination, or in the hope that the employee will become frustrated to the point of quitting.

This is what what Intel would call "attrition"
