Wouldn't it have been luckier still if Hastert and the leadership had dealt severely with the guy when the very first hint of contact took place..or even this Spring when Hastert knew...cause then there could be a new republican running in that district. By doing nothing the seat will now probably go democratic....Lucky for us, indeed.

Principled aren't those republicans!
