Thanks, Sultan. Despite the occasional headline-grabbing incident of sectarian or religious violence in India, I am very hopeful about the continuing harmony among India's religious communities and the vitality of India's secular democracy. Education is the cornerstone of such efforts to promote pluralism and tolerance.
It is surprising that in a country where the basic needs (water, education, etc.) for so many go unfulfilled, institutions of excellence which rank among highest quality to be found anywhere in the world, seem to be flourishing. I am thinking of schools like this, excellent private schools like St. Stephen's, IITs, IIMs, etc.
It is great to see AK placing such a strong emphasis on education. I hear that the international baccalaureate program, which the AK Academy follows, is a top-notch curriculum and very demanding.
