I made a killing a few years ago on a stock where the R/S was messed up also - IT started with A is all I can remember.

Now haven't I claimed already that Wall Street firms screwed up and forgot to recalculate the shares in shareholder accounts thus flooding the market with an excessive number of shares that no longer exist? I find it amusing how you keep coming back - In all capital letters - and try to make arguments that are stupid and childish.

I see Jeff did the same earlier by accusing O'Brien of something he didn't say. Jeff 97% of 50,000 shares is not necessarily unusual when a stock trades several hundred thousand shares or more. To mismark some 47,000 shares long when they are really short, especially if the entire sale came through a single firm can easily account for this. I suggest you read the statement better. Byrne claimed 144 of 150 trades executed relative to his 50,000 share purchase in August was mismarked. He did not say 97% of all trades were mismarked. I am sure that information came via HIS broker since his broker was keepng him abreast of the settlement issue.
