Patchie, you (and your ilk) miss the point entirely. Every time one of "you" get a hold of FOIA data, it's touted as a bombshell. Whenever that same data runs contrary to your agenda, like when 97% of allegedly smoking gun naked short trades are marked long, suddenly it's a mistake.

Either the data from the DTC is reliable or it is not. If you want to contend that it's not because of coding errors, fine, then stick to that argument and stop touting all these rendered moot FOIA revelations until you have data everyone agrees is reliable.

Yes, I am as curious as anyone to know the "real" story behind the FTDs. But I'm more curious to know which CEOs are diluting and which insiders are pumping and dumping... which has a greater impact on a stock price by a longshot. I guarantee if you put the majority of SEC and DTC resources here, you'd expose most of the scam penny stocks well before they had a chance to put the blame for their bad fortune on the bogey man.
