Its been many years since I last posted here. Mainly because SI removed the grandfather privileges(free posting).

SEMI is still run by the Goldbergs. They are survivors.

But the fact that SEMI has no market makers showed in the share value. And the stockholders dwindled from 3000 to 250, mostly in discount brokerages. SEMI thought that might translate to 3500 stockholders in brokerages. No one is maintaining a market.

Lacking market makers means that internet forums had to be used to maintain a market. I am going to attempt to do so, here.

First SEMI may be the fourth largest semiconductor distributor, and seventh largest electronics distributor. But customers are no longer limited in the US. And SEMI had expanded into other parts of the world. How effective, we don't know.

The business has little cash, and large inventory and accounts receivable. I am happy that Goldbergs and Flanders live in such environment for many years. While they are used to it, the inventory turn over can be improved if they join in many supply chain software of their customers. All the automobile customers would have supply chain software that SEMI can join?

Bruce Goldberg and Paul used to visit here, hope they do again. This stock will take two years of nurturing to bear fruit. But first find supply chain software to latch onto?
