Well, it was $145 per night, but that was due to the fact that
it was Thanksgiving. It was $105 normally. I see they raised
prices now. The problem with this one is that it's hard to
reserve, and impossible to cancel without penalty. We tried
to go in May to a 2-br. cabin, with the same company, but
had to cancel and pay the penalty.

The jacuzzi inside is huge, haven't seen anything like that
at other places. October is usually overbooked and expensive,
so maybe the high prices are due to high season. Rent at other
places (1br) can start from < $100, as low as $75 per night.
You can rent 2br. for $125/night. The first link has all these
places. Many have a web site, which will allow you to do
search and book. Most will rent for 3 nights or more.

There are ways around Gatlinburg without traffic, if you get to
know them -g- Pigeon Forge is always horrible, as I'm sure
you noticed. There is a local
kids park, Dollywood, in Pigeon Forge. It is always very
crowded.
