I'm sorry. You originally wrote that "ANY government tax and spending does harm." I presume the "harm" is that taxes are moneys that could be applied elsewhere?

By that logic ANY expenditure causes some harm. My Fla condo fees are used to maintain the roads in the condo complex. The taxes I pay on my home to the township are used to maintain roads. Are both equally harmful?

My grocery bill requires funds that could be used elsewhere. Is that harmful?
