This whole story is very strange.

I am very worried, and saddened, that homophobes will take it as yet another excuse to bash gay people, when the problem is really pedophiles. Thousands and thousands of men molest little girls, and not so little girls, every year, but that's no excuse to trash all heterosexual men. It will be a fine day in this country if people ever learn to separate the issue of being gay, from the issue of being a pedophile, in the way we separate being heterosexual from being a pedophile.

Quite frankly I'm pretty sickened by many of the comments I've seen on SI.
