I think all we need is a known Republican figures commit commit crime in major categories, and Democrats could become a law and order party.

Per usual, you are confused.......going by the comments Republicans are making on tv and on the web, its you all who dislike Foley.........actually, I think "hate" or "despise" might be better words to describe the feelings coming from GOPers during this busy week.
Besides, Foley's not a pedophile, according to his attorney, he's an "alcoholic" that was "abused" when he was a kid. Actually that sounds like 'truthiness' to me. What's that you say? You don't know what truthiness is? GOP truthiness is the truth with two parts spin and one part straw man added to it.
A classic example of truthiness........according to his attorney, Foley's flirtatious emails and IMs to pages did not happen because he was gay or into teenage boys but rather because he drank and the drinking caused him to do inappropriate things. And truthiness wants you to believe........its not just with boys that ex Congressman Foley's inappropriateness would make an appearance .......if he were drinking at a formal dinner party, its very likely he would start farting inappropriately at some point during the evening. In other words, if Mr. Foley takes care of his drinking problem, there will be no more flirtatious emails to pages and he can be a congressman again. Viola! Its really too bad about this Foley business.......the GOP was doing so well this fall just before the upcoming midterm elections. Oh wait, there's that Woodward book but you know Woodward always having to write a book. ;-) But other than Foley and Woodward, things were looking up for the GO........oh wait, there's that garbage about Bush/Cheney/Rice lying to Americans about the violence level going down in Iraq what? a year ago? when in fact, they were getting reports that the violence was increasing. But aside from Foley, Woodward and those additional lies, the GOP machine was really getting into gear so it could crus.......oh wait, there's that 'little' matter of Tenet warning Rice that something big was coming down right before 9/11. Instead of listening, Rice pushed Tenet aside. And now it turns out ole Rummie and Cheney were warned as well.
Not to worry....the GOP voters will come through like they have in years past and you will be making another visit to this thread right after election nite to rub it in. ;-) Well......until then....ta ta! |
