That's a plausible argument when your boycott actually costs the object of your ire sales. That's not the case, however, for gas given that there's a shortage of it and it's fungible. I have not yet seen an argument that a boycott of Citgo hurts your object, Chavez, in any way.

The reason I followed up was to see if you might have one.

Boycotting Costco is a different matter because Costco can, at least marginally, be hurt by them.
