I think there is a large trend away from gas guzzlers in the US auto market. Not sure how much that will impact the global price of oil but since we are the largest consumer of oil still, and (more importantly) US trends seem to impact trends globally, I think we could see some declines in oil demand from the expectations at least short term.

Basically, rich people are all going out buying Priuses here. It has become the "trendy car". Nobody in the market for a car is buying anything but a hybrid. If this isn't a national trend yet it will be, imho
