Altair competitor will be Yorkfield. vr-zone has some incredible parameters of it: 12MB L2 as 2x6MB. i wonder why split, BTW. I guess Intel's idea of shared cache stales to - well doesn't scale beyond 2. The clock speed is actually what would be scary, if true - 3.46 - 3.73 for the Extreme Edition. vr-zone.com Fortunately, VR Zone is one of the least credible sites. Joe
