Well, *that's * an understatement, for sure! We don't know, or at least I don't know, much about Barney Franks "commitment to someone else" or how many "others there were before" he committed to before this person, etc. And frankly (no pun) I don't care. I do care that he had a prostitution ring running from his/their apartment, run by his boyfriend, and he supposedly didn't know. Right? And there have been others, and one of those, stayed in Congress, and got a standing ovation for staying there...etc etc. Seems to me there have been some absolutely TERRIBLE examples set for these people. And the voters in this country have continued sending some of these people back to Congress.
So yeah....it's a Power Thing. If I had my way, any of them breaking the law, involving kids at any level, should be made to quite the Government in any capacity, NOT collect a pension of any sort, except their own money, if they put any in. They could be sent to Siberia for all I care.
As I've said, I hope the FBI can figure out what has happened, and we will go from there. |
