Utilizing its breakthrough core technology, the bi-directional RPM, iPackets’ iPSuite software platform reliably and efficiently manages the complex wireless issues. iPSuite enables corporations to rapidly create new, enhance existing, deploy, and manage robust enterprise-wide wireless solutions. The end-to-end Java-based iPSuite platform enables wireless solutions to be deployed on virtually any wireless device supporting Java and any wireless network technology (802.11, GSM/GPRS, CDMA/1XRTT, and others) on the market today while providing for future expandability. iPSuite has two software components: one sits on the mobile device and another one runs on the back-office server.

The mobile device component, called iPS-Client, is a component architecture, Java-based (J2ME) application framework providing an event manager, message queuing, GPS capability, the RPM technology, a configuration manager, and Integration capability. iPackets or the customer can quickly build the forms or GUI that integrates into the iPS-Client environment to act as the input/output to the back-office applications and data. The server component, called iPS-Server, is a component architecture, Java-based (J2SE) environment providing a session manager (eliminating session dropouts during dropped signals and high latency), the RPM technology, a data broker (ensuring data goes to the right applications), and advanced data requestor (for any event driven activity such as two-way instant messaging), agents that monitor the health of the system, enable system configuration for performance and load balancing, and automated self-scaling, and a universal data interface for connectivity to applications and database systems. The system also uses XML throughout for rapid integration into any system supporting XML.

iPSuite has RPM on both the mobile device side and server side, enabling a true push/pull data environment, as corrections can be made from either side of the wireless data connection. iPS-Web is a web-based application providing user and device provisioning, system administration, configuration management, two-way messaging (enterprise-to-device, device-to-enterprise, device-to-device), command messaging to devices, location tracking (real-time and historical), security management, and extensive reporting. Extensive libraries are provided in a rapid development toolset of new web-based applications for wireless data and location services. iPS-Web uses any SQL database (Oracle, or MS-SQL Server) to store all information on the wireless devices, users, system usage data, audit trail data, location data associated to each device and security. Pre-programmed functions and procedures, and APIs are provided to enable rapid integration into third-party applications for such functions as: billing, user information integration, location enabling third-party applications, and integration to other content providers and services.

iPSuite has been designed from the ground up for integration, including the ability to integrate with existing wireless and non-wireless applications and Web Application Servers from Microsoft, IBM, BEA, Oracle and others.
