Heard on CNN : Congress thinks Naturalized Americans should need to show proof of citizenship, before being eligible to vote. Conceptually, I agree, but it raises a few Qs..

- How does a person born in the US prove he/she is an American ?
- How does an illegal migrant who is registered to vote, slip thru the system ?
- Why isolate legal Naturalized Americans ?

In my personal case - I am a Naturalized US citizen. First federal elections, I used to live in Australia. Registered for absentee ballot, after showing my passport (fair enuff). Now I live in California. I gotta go thru the rigmarole AGAIN ?
