Ork just told me "The Palm restaurant in Troy, MI in your anecdote just closed."

Posted on my blog:
Might as well add Sacramento to your anecdote pile:

My girlfriend and I went out to a popular burger restaurant & bar in downtown Sacramento last Friday night. Getting there around 7PM, we figured we’d have the usual 45 minute wait. Not this time. We were seated immediately and our food came within 10 minutes. The place was half-full at best, with two people in four-person booths. Our waitress was very attentive.

We were so shocked at how uncrowded it was, we drove down J street, past the dozens of restaurants in midtown Sacramento. Not one line. Not one full house. I’ve lived in Sac for 10 years and I’ve never seen it like that before.

BTW anyone heard of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals?
I had not heard of it and one of the responders was amazed by that.
