i love it that the "expert" Bernie Schaeffer was making a bearish call at the best time all year to buy VLO. I loved it, too. Perfect storm of BS, real news, and other effluents gave me an entry point near a 52 week low. The slowing economy will lead to lower interest rates and, ergo, higher share prices on the whole. As the price of commodities in general, and oil in particular, goes down, the VLO share price is likely to be stagnant for a few months. I hope so since I plan to start a substantial--from my perch's perspective--accumulation of VLO during this time. I see it as a 3-4 year play with a window of opportunity currently open to new shareholders. My story and I'm sticking to it.
