I was thinking that it would be neat, eventually, to have "..rental anklets.." for children that you would use at the Mall ..like the personal baggage carts you rent at an airport..). There could be kiosks where you go and get an anklet(s) using your credit card, place it on your kid(s) and then return them when you were ready to leave. That way, if a child wandered off, Security could find him in seconds flat - or it would go into MegaAlarm if the child tried to leave (..or was being taken..) out any of the Mall doors. The cancellable/refundable "..deposit.." and the "..door alarms.." would prevent loss of the anklets. A locking security clip on the anklet and special removal tool on a lanyard at the CCTV-monitored kiosk (..similar to the lossprevention tags they use on expensive clothes in stores..) would keep the anklets in the Mall and prevent removal by unauthorized people if the original credit card was required to access the locking-clip removal tool. Similar arrangements could be designed for use in jails and medium to low security prisons where inmates are allowed to move around more freely. Interesting ideas and possibilities, anyway............. John :-) .
