They don't collect any subsidy money, they just don't pay the road tax that is on gasoline.

I just watched a train with 50 10,000 gallon tankers full of ethanol go buy. Now it doesn't do well in pipelines but neither do clothes, cars, lumber ... and they all get shipped. Ethanol does a better job of cutting pollution than MTBE and doesn't cause cancer like MTBE does.
