Dave, DRAMs or Memories used to be 1/3 of the business of AMAT---so huge a chunk of the business that when prices of said CHIPS started to become cheaper and the stock prices Of MU, TXN and the like became cheaper---AMAT shares became cheaper also beginning in summer 1995 ---even as AMAT posted More-Than-Double Earnings Report...

Now, AMAT apparently no longer rely so much on Memory CHIPs that the stock no longer follow the gyrations of the stocks of MU and the like...

The Sad Memory about DRAMs is now a distant memory for AMAT...
