10/6/06 Update
Biotech bulls had another good week, with the Nasdaq Biotech Index closing Friday down -1.54% YTD (vs. -4.56% YTD at its 9/29/06 close). The Charity Contest portfolio median also approached the break even point and at Friday's close was down -2.34% YTD (vs. down -5.17% YTD at the 9/29/06 close). At Friday's close, 17 of the 40 Charity Portfolios were in the black YTD and 19 of the 40 portfolios were outperforming the NBI.
Wilder's portfolio remains in the No. 1 spot, up 49.9% YTD. RKRW's portfolio, boosted by DVAX's big jump, is a close second with a 44.5% YTD gain. (Much to my astonishment, DVAX goosed my own portfolio to fifth place.)
Have a fun fall weekend everyone!
