I agree it's about credit.

We are going to go through a period where these sub primes are going to go under.

Fanie and Fredy are going to lose some big money on these problem loans.

Many 401K/Pensions that have invested in the companies are going to lose tons. The public pensions are going to have to raise taxes in order to cover their losses which will slow growth.

But, eventually once the dust settles we will start the process over with the next generation rolling into society.
