I finally wrote the epitaph on AOL America ON Line(AOL) thread.

AOL is quietly being disposed by TWX. But buyers are hard to find. Broadband is coming and dialup modem business could be dying, by the statistics of customers abandoning AOL.

But the nine lives of AOL is in the revival of free AOL portal and its advertizing revenue potential.

And perhaps even pick up the new business of cellphone internet protocol of portal channel.

TWX may have a crown jewel that movie properties can be VOD on cellphone as cost comes down for flat rate cellphone users?

Look for ARRS to adapt their equipment to support cellphone central office?
