My rural paper just did a big story on BPL. I interpreted the corporatespeak by the CEOs of two companies that they don't want to pay the cost and would be more interested in partnering with a tech company in that biz if one came forward. Translation - forget it. A simplified version of the technology is there which they now use to read meters. As another poster said, it's a last mile technology though. Quite sure one of them said Manassas, VA is one of the few test communities that has it - with large numbers of subscribers. Geo.
