We can acknowledge that men have these urges, without giving men the "ok" to act on them. Great post, but unfortunately, apparently we can't acknowledge those urges. Remember the furor over Jimmy Carter's "lust in my heart"? I think this denial of who we are traces to our Judeo-Christian heritage that maintains we are far above the other animals who have such base longings. (Also the source of much of the conflict you mention, IMO).
