I don't think the rent vs. buy equation has worked in many markets for a while. It hasn't worked in California for 20 years at least. There have been times when rentals were hard to find like the late 90s but even then, it didn't equate to the cost of buying.

Do you really think that houses in FLA will revert to the cost of renting?
