They aren't mutually exclusive.

Have you listened to his bestest mistress Condie? She's constantly saying that she didn't do this, that and the other thing because no one told her what to do, when to do it, why to do it and how to do it. This is her excuse for not doing anything about the July meeting and the August PDB and the yammering from Clark and Tenet and goodness knows what else.

This is the same kind of inertia claptrap that comes from Rummy about the lack of war/occupation planning. When things didn't go according to their 'easy war' expectations, they became frozen which is where they are today.

Frozen.

They're just standing around, seeing the bad news reports, trying to shoot the messengers and having no interest in or ideas of what to do.

Stuck.

This is the claptrap of Dubya saying that the next President will fix what he broke, will take care of Iraq. This is the baby expecting the mommy to fix things....as always.

These aren't adults. They're children. They do ok as long as things go according to their expectations. When things go off the rails, they just freeze in their tracks, think about fishing and hunting and blaming others and do nothing.

Nothing.

They call it strength and staying the course. That's total bs. They're just weak and simply have no idea what to do.

Note that Baker is becoming much more visible again with the Iraq study group. Poppy's troops are coming back to take charge.

Poppy understands what the US media refuses to acknowledge.
