Cool - the vagaries of my mis-understanding of the written word strike yet again. It sure seemed from that post that you were close to convinced - c'est la vie.

I'm very much on the fence myself as you have probably gathered. I still think we have a short inflation scare ahead and that gold and other items will spike, and then we head down... and how far down is the question. There's also a fairly reliable 8.6 year global business/economic cycle that's due to top one one of its 2.15 year sub cycles in Feb 2007 (original source = ).

There's only one stat I track that shows a reversal back to inflation (my quarterly global liquidity charts) and the rest are level to down.
