I have noticed that several on this thread seem to feel we would be better off with a Democratic Regime. I would point out that almost ALL of our problems TODAY we INSTIGATED during the 8 years of Clintons reign. Examples: 1. El quieda, WTC and the related events--Had Clinton taken a stronger stand YEARS before Bin Laden got his organization fully up and running we could have nipped this in the bud. 2. North Korea and likely nuclear proliferation--Had Clinton MADE SURE that his one on one talks were ENFORCED all of what is happening today and likely to happen in the future could have been avoided. 3. Iran--Starting with Jimmy Carter our lax treatment of Iran resulted in their ability for religious fanatics to take over the country and now potentially cause great mischief. 4. Intelligence forces--Had Clinton and his administration not RAPED the intelligence forces and hamstrung their ability to get HUMAN resources we could have possibly foreseen many of the terrible things that have since happened, might even have avoided Iraq. 5. Military--had Clinton not CHOKED OFF military expenditures, downsized man and equipment we would not today be so stretched thin and would not have had to fight a war "WITH THE EQUIPMENT WE HAVE" . jdn
