Hi Paul, and welcome to the board! Thanks for that wired article by Gilder. His emphasis on power generation is spot on, I believe. I've been attracted to the subject, myself, and find myself posting more about it as time goes by. Someone else recently stated in another publicized work that power will soon replace bandwidth as the new currency of the Internet. This last point is driven home by the fact that, as the article noted, many large data centers are reaching their maximum processing levels NOT based on the number of sq ft that they possess, but as a measure of the local utility's ability to deliver power.
