So if she takes sensual photos of children for adults that she believes adults will interpret sexually ... maybe she is a pornographer, strictly defined

I imagine she was responding to the accusation that her photographs were sexually provocative, not that she had meant them to be. SHe was photographing what she saw. (She really is exceptional- has won a ton of awards).

When my son was in middle school, he didn't want to go to a pool party, but didn't want to tell me why. It turned out that he was at that age where I guess guys get excited easily, and he was afraid the sight of a girl in a bikini might cause something to happen and humiliate him. His concern was great because as he said, "Mom, I can look at a potted plant and think sex."

Sometimes that seems to be true of many adults, also.
