The news was the fact that Foley left the House, and the reasons why. Speculation enters when "who was worried, and who hoped.... The fact that strategists are in a tizzy is also news, stemming from the first news, as I stated. The various speculations of the various cited parties are examples of the tizzy. What Foley did is the precipitating news but there has been and will be lots of news that follows. Who knew what, when they knew it, and what they did about it is already news. Any impact on the elections will be news. Lotsa news is news, not just the precipitating news.
