I think the aclu have let themselves be manipulated by the government to act against religious freedom in this country to preserve the separation of church and state.

By the government? What government?

If the aclu is violating the civil rights of most people in this country to practice religious freedom to protect the interests of big government, they are doing the opposite of what's in the best interests of mankind.

OK, so I guess you don't recognize the tyranny of the majority as something our government was set up to mitigate. You must be a member of the majority, at least for now.

Of course it has. That's their job. Everybody has a role to play and that's theirs. We should all be thankful that someone has stepped up to that particular plate. In every society that practices the rule of law, someone has to play those roles. Whether we always like the outcome or not, it's a necessary function. Much like defense attorneys for the guilty are necessary. In their way, they support the system that protects us all. It's particularly noble that they do so in the face of a selfish and whiney majority, bent on seeing themselves as the victims.

Why have we made our religious beliefs so intolerant that we are completely inhibited from expressing our faith and reason?

Beats me. Sure not what Jesus would do.
