You can lump them and like it, I guess. I noticed that this discussion on the subject had been rambling along for a few days.

My secular viewpoint sees it as an Eagle/Social Conservative split on the right, with the SC's in control at the moment, but the Eagles coming on strong for the next election when you look at the potential Presidential candidates.

The left, to me, is one secular mass, going from left to leftist. It's just a matter of degree on that subject. There are still some "blue-collar Catholics" over there, but most of the religion on the left is some version of "the church of what's happening now." Post-modern to a fault.
