Never heard of Ralph Stanley. Guess I'll have to check him out.

Willie & Hank? Yeah, I've nibbled at Willie's music and have a boat load of Hank; Jr & Sr.

I'm more enthralled by the modern day musings of Merle Haggard than either of those. I'll spend for Leon Redbone, Levon Helm, Ricky Skaggs and of course The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band without even sampling the music.

But, I'm still a rocker too; stuck in the 70's as usual. Haven't bought anything rock since Bare Naked Ladies. Today's pop music is like a desert, bereft of talent except for the occasional oasis.

I say, "Down with the likes of Tower Records! They are the reason for their own demise."

What you say about the music (spectrums of art and entertainment) is true, but it's value to us is much deeper than that. A chord is only a chord, but a great piece of music is much greater the sum of its chords.
