I think it is a good thing that the company has rushed earnings announcement to October 9. This will get bad news out of the way. Any news is better than market uncertainty. It may be that management realizes that the silence they have been exhibiting played right into the hands of the shorts, and they decided to push up earnings because they are not as bad as some are imagining. At the Montgomery conference Ascend allegedly announced that TNT shipments in Europe will not begin until next quarter. More bad news.
