I in no way intimated that Iraq is not in rough and terrible shape..what I was trying to convey is that I want a fair and accurate assessment of what's going on..I am not getting that and neither are you..

you can make all the noises you want to about those "quiet areas", but I think the only people who will believe they are significant are people who don't read the papers, or who already bought Bush's program, and don't care about facts

Are you referring to me in the bolded of this sentence?

We created the opportunity for it,

Are you willing to take responsibility for how people of your view influenced this war and its deterioration?

and thus it is directly attributable to our actions, and is our fault.

Surely, you must know that the Dem's behaviour during this war, has enboldened the extremists to kill a lot of those people that are in the Johns Hopkins study..

Iraqis are worse off now than they were before the war, in terms of life expectancy and quality of life, and Iraqis know that.

They have their own people and fellow Arabs in surronding countries to 'thank' for this..The US was naive to think that Iran/Syria, Al Quaeda would not get involved in Iraq..that's a HUGE mistake..Regarding long term, I believe the Iraqi's are better off..if they choose to it..
