I think, in the view of the opposition, the answers to those questions are:
1. It's different now because Clinton isn't president.

2. It's different now because Clinton isn't president.

3. It would be better if there were no democrats at all, but cutting off dissent from them is probably the best to be hoped for- so yes, that's the proposal (a "modest" one).

4. Freedom and peace are to be found through war, and war requires sacrifices (including the sacrifices of one's freedom); that's the way it goes.

5. People on SI who disagree with liberals understand Islam. No one else does- not even those Islamic folks who happen to live over there in the ME (at least not if they have different opinions from the folks on SI).

6. A monopoly of insight IS possible. I could given you innumerable posts to "prove" this- coming from the actually infallible posters themselves- but since these posters come from all sides of the political spectrum, I won't trouble you with the possibly deadly cognitive dissonance such URL's might inflict.

7. If it is Clinton, it's different. See #1 and #2 - they apply regardless of the gender of the Clinton in question. Actually, you could probably just use "democrat" instead of "Clinton".
