Actually enforcing it being off limits might reasonably be considered to be authoritarian, but I don't think I'd give that label to attempts to consider the comment insensitive or out of bounds in a purely social sense.

For example look at racial epithets. Laws against them, or a systematic non-governmental campaign to forcefully censor there use would be authoritarian. But expressions of hurt, anger, or social disapproval, would not in my opinion be authoritarian even if they are strong enough and wide spread enough to be mostly effective.
