I noticed that at least four cities were announced to be covered by fighter planes almost immediately....Seattle was one of them on the West Coast and so was LA....

My guess is that if it appeared there was a terrorist plot that was to hit several cities within hours of each other, there would be a fewer number of small planes headed for tall buildings...but then, you do ask a good question.

Would anyone care if there were NO fighter jets who flew overhead...?

I certainly wish we had Reagan's "Star Wars" incoming missile defense systems in place. You can thank the Dems that we aren't protected in that way.
