Trends form all the time and then often reverse themselves. This isn't a trend line of a complex system like a stock price with lots of inputs pushing in every which direction. It's more like the trend line of the sun coming up each day and being presumed to come up tomorrow. <g> IMO, of course. So much about us humans can now be attributed to genes and chemicals. (Who would have believed that?)It's reasonable to suspect that many more things in the future will be attributable to such things once we know enough. Belief in God could turn out to be a gene or a chemical. Who knows what God will end up being.
