Clinton was never offered OBL. Totally baseless charge. The truth is much more complex than that, and timelines are the key. In fact, at the time the rightwing claims Clinton was "offered" OBL (for which they offer no evidence) OBL was n ot even proven to have done anything. OBL was not the proven culprit behind the embassy bobings until 1998, and Al Qaida didn't even exist as an organization until about 1995-1996. CLinton also never found out who carried out the USS Cole attack. The verdict didn't come in until February 2001. That's Bush's watch. The simple fact is, Clinton went after Al Qaida with 150 cruise missiles and more while many on the right mocked him for it. And Bush did absolutely nothing to prevent 9-11 despite being warned multiple times in very urgent fashions. Also, in 2002, we had Osama and his crew trapped at Tora Bora. The CIA called for 600 Army Rangers to cut off the escape routes but Bushies refused to send them a single soldier. That's a fact. So OBL, Mullah Omar and Zawahiri got away. And are now still at large, probably under the protection of Bush "ally" Pakistan.
