JCP, re: It would be very nice if the Dems win control of at least ONE house of congress, but Bush is such a lame duck now, he's unlikely to be able to do the level of damage to America that he's been doing, even with his own party in control. I disagree. They just "effectively" repealed habeas corpus in the US, the core principle of justice for the last 800 years. Bush claims that the authorization for the Iraq war is also an effective authorization for any war he wants to conduct in the "war on terror". No, I think the mid-terms are VERY important. John
