ManyMoose..Lincoln was in an EXTRAORDINARY situation.

If I had been in his spot I might have done exactly the same thing. He was worried about "Copperheads" blocking the movement of Federal troops through Maryland and he didn't exactly have time to have a "panel" put together to analyze all the options.

You're worried about the 2nd Amendment, but I'm worried about the country's financial infrastructure. Piling up debt and trade imbalances the way we have since Bush came in may make the 2nd Amendment EXTREMELY important to ALL of us if the current financial policies start coming to roost. We might all be restocking our gun cabinets.
